National Home Show and Canada Blooms 2013 - Toronto - Exhibition Place!

 

The renowned, 2013 National Home Show is held at the Direct Energy Center, Exhibition Place in Toronto, from Friday, March 15 until Sunday March 24. The show offers a list of “Must see features” such as a ‘Family Day’, the ‘Dream Home’, Hockey Fan Cave’, ‘IDEA Stage’ and among others, ‘Urban Barn Design Competition’. Each year the show features a spectacular Dream Home. This year Quality Homes has out done themselves, by presenting “Country Meets City…with rural charm”.  An 1800sq ft., three bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, open concept living space, with modern flare and spectacular design features, includes coffered ceilings, frameless glass shower, barn door on rollers, contemporary fireplace, and plenty of natural light through the oversized windows and patio doors.

Another exciting showcase is the ‘Hockey Fan Cave’ - a hockey lover’s dream – designed by Jackie Morra Interiors. Hockey memorabilia is just the icing on the cake in this Cave. This 2400sq ft. space incorporates a 1000sq ft. custom home and a 1200sq ft. ice rink! Yes, ICE RINK!  Also included is a locker room with a hot tub, a state of the art home theatre, and a replica of the Stanley Cup. There should be a warning posted, once a hockey fan enters – they just might not leave.

The “Urban Barn Design Competition” features five 10x15 booths, each custom designed by a guest interior designer, with a $4000.00 budget with several limitations and instructions. The competition is ON!
